Brian R. Edmison, CA

Brian
obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen’s University and
articled in Toronto with the national accounting firm of Price Waterhouse
Chartered Accountants. Brian received his CA designation in 1970, just
before he came to Smithers and joined our firm in 1971.
In addition to his extensive knowledge of the local business environment, Brian has an excellent understanding of the complexities of tax issues and estate planning.
Brian and his wife Elaine love to be outside. They take great pride in
the natural beauty and the recreational opportunities in the Bulkley Valley
and spend much of their personal time hiking and skiing.
Michael B. Mehr, CA

Michael obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and articled with a local chartered accounting firm in Edmonton. He received his
CA designation in 1993 and joined our firm in Smithers in 1995.
Michael brings to the firm an understanding of implementing computerized accounting systems in a small business environment. He has accumulated a solid understanding of the reporting requirements and challenges facing the local not-for-profit sector.
Michael and his wife Lorretta have three young children and enjoy family
activities such as cross-country skiing, hiking, and tobogganing. He enjoys
an afternoon outting at the golf course and can also be found working
up a sweat at the local squash courts.

Al McCreary, Senior Accountant

Al obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
He joined our firm in 1981 after five years experience as the Treasurer
for the Town of Smithers. He has developed an extensive knowledge of municipal
and first nations audit reporting requirements.
Al and his wife Bonnie enjoy the time they spend up on the Smithers ski
hill with their family. Al is also actively involved in the old-timers
ice hockey league, the second sheet of ice initiative and assists with many of our various community events.
Mary E. Davidson, C.A
Mary obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser
University and articled in Prince George with the national accounting firm of Deloitte
& Touche LLP Chartered Accountants. Mary received her CA designation in 2001
and in 2006 returned to her hometown to join our firm. Mary has experience providing audit and advisory services for lumber manufacturing companies, municipalities and not-for-profit organizations.
Mary's family has a dairy and beef farm along Canyon Creek, and she enjoy's taking the family border collies for walks along the property and cross-country skiing. She also likes singing and has sung in local and university choirs. Like many accountants, Mary appreciates the exercise element of golf as she spends more time swinging and walking than putting.
Cindy Elliott

Cindy joined our firm in 1999 with many years of accounting experience. In 2004 she completed the Advanced Certificate in Accounting program offered by the CA Institute.
Brenda Zantingh

Brenda joined our firm in 2000 with a variety of excellent accounting skills. She completed the Advanced Certificate in Accounting program offered by the CA Institute at the beginning of 2005.
Chrystie Mill
chrystie@edmisonmehr.ca
Chrystie joined our firm in 2004 as our receptionist. Her responsibilities include the payroll services, bank reconciliations, completing GST/HST returns and various other services that we provide to our clients. She has obtained her Advanced Payroll for Professional Bookkeepers certificate from the Knowledge Bureau, and has also obtained her certificate for Accounting 1 from Thompson Rivers University.
Borden Armstrong
Borden joined our firm in August 2009. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University with a major in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration.
Nancy Furlong
Nancy joined our firm in September 2009. She has obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree July 2009. She is currently studying to become a Chartered Accountant.
